| See, a number of years ago,
I was recruited by the Government of Canada to initiate programs and supervise
mental health and addiction specialists in one of the most northern and
remote regions of the world, the Northwest Territories. The landscape
was incredible and the people there were most gracious…
… yet when I left that place of great and haunting beauty, I was saddened
by the lack of addictions resources available to the communities.

children… succumb to coping with pain, loss and trauma through cutting,

Unfortunately, the Problems Don't End There…

| Now I'm back in Canada's largest
city, but things are NO better! I still can't believe most people are
typically waiting 2-8 months (sometimes longer) for a treatment program

Yet when they come to my office after treatment and I ask them what tools
or information they've received, my jaw just drops at the lack of resources
they leave with from many of these treatment programs. It's just wrong!
